Meet Jose Dominguez, Founder of Plastering Solutions Inc
Jose Dominguez has twenty three years in the plastering trade. Twelve of those were with Plasterers Local 300, where he came up to foreman on commercial crews, before he started Plastering Solutions Inc with his wife, Luz Angelica, in 2018. He is the license holder on the company, CSLB #1044105, a Class B general building license and a C-35 Lathing and Plastering license. The company story is on about us. This page is about the person behind the license.

The man on the nozzle
On a union plastering crew, one person runs the sprayer. Material moves through a pump and out through a nozzle, and whoever is holding it sets the pace for the nine or ten men working the walls behind him. That was Jose's position on the crew, years before any of it was his own company.
Fireproofing is a separate trade inside the same union, and Jose sprayed that too. A different material and a different technique, through the same pump. None of that is work the company sells today, but it is part of why twelve years reads longer on him than on most.
No salesman, and he says so first
Jose did not come into this business out of sales or management. He came out of a trade, and he is direct about the difference.
“I don't have the background of a salesman or the business [...] I'm here to help, and this is the best way to do it, based with my training and safety and materials and technique.”
In practice that means the person walking your property has run the material himself, and can read what is in front of him rather than reaching for a brochure. It is the judgment a homeowner is paying for on a stucco repair, long before anyone mixes material.
Outside the job
Jose spends his time off the job outdoors. He mountain bikes, has recently taken up dirt biking, hikes with his family and plays golf. He likes to travel, usually somewhere with a beach, and the family goes to amusement parks together.
He goes to the gym regularly and ties it straight back to the work: he stays healthy so he can keep running the company. His Christian faith is important to him. He and Luz have been married more than twenty two years.
Who knocks on your door
Before an estimate, Plastering Solutions Inc sends the customer a photo and a short bio of the person who is coming out, so nobody opens the door to a stranger. Often that person is Jose, somewhere between San Jose and the Peninsula.
Twenty three years in the trade, and the name on the license. That is who is standing on the walkway. The crew's finished work is on projects.
Jose is one of the two people who run estimates. The visit is free. Ask for him by name when you schedule.
